Event Description

Shaykh Yasir Qadhi, PhD, is an American Muslim scholar and writer. He currently serves as Dean of Academic Affaris at the Al-Maghrib Institute, an international Islamic Education center based in Houston, and as a Assistant Professor of Religious Studies at Rhodes College. He has authored numerous books, academic articles, and a series of popular English-language videos covering Islamic theology and current events. His many educational achievements include a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston, a diploma in Arabic from the Islamic University of Madinah, a BA from the College of Hadith and Islamic Sciences, an  M.A. in Islamic Theology from the College of Dawah, and a PhD in Religious Studies from Yale University.  

Dr. Qadhi will offer his views and engage in conversation with Princeton University's Bernard Haykel, Professor of Near Eastern Studies.
